Alright so what does everyone all do to get the trunks on compacts to pack in. I'm not focusing on any specific kind of car, but in general. Something to keep them from going down or blowing apart in every direction.
I have heard of people prebending the rear unibody at a straight angle. I have heard of putting a V notch in the frame and bending it up a bit. What has everyone all tried?

Not alot of experience with fwd's here, but we have gotton 3 to do what we wanted so far, and one complete failure.
Donuts on back of all 4
90 Accord 4 door...threw the deck lid away, left the bumper on, & pre bent a little......bent a lil weird, but acceptable results
90 Sundance 4 door...bolted hatch on, left bumper on & pre bent a little....Folded a lil higher than we wanted, but acceptable...should have bent it 4-6 inches further back
90 Regal 2 door...came with no deck lid. Put a Subaru hood in it's place. Tucked it with a slight V (6" max rule), welded it on with one piece of all thread in the middle going through the bottom lip...no bumper, notched and pre bent.......perfect results so far, but car ain't dead yet.
FAIL...85 Calais 2 door...Slight v tuck, pinned it on with 9 wire, no back bumper, no notch, no prebend.........results...dropped faster than a $20 hooker in Juarez

Before those, we always left the backs pretty stock & we all know where that leads on most fwd's

I cut V notches into the unibody through the trunk floor. Then chained the car to the trailer and jacked up the rear unibody after the notches to prebend just that part. We weren't allowed to run allthread through the unibody frame. So I cut a slice in the spare tire compartment, even with the notches, and then tightened the all thread to pull the trunk floor up into the trunk. Overall It almost worked how I wanted. The passenger side bent in perfect. But the drivers side bent in, and then bent down right where the rear sway bar is mounted to the unibody. I think if I had removed the sway bar then it all would of bent in good. Good side packed in: Bad side packed in and bent down:
